RIDM Review - Guantanamo’s Child: Omar Khadr - The fine Canadian documentary Guantanamo’s Child Omar Khadr is many things at once – chilling, heartbreaking and heartwarming; a record of shameful behaviour but also one of kindness and dedication; and a testimony to the resilience of the human body and spirit.

Can we still write to Omar now that he is out? I wanted to write but I feel like it would disturb his life that he is living now… I don’t wanna bother him but wanted to offer support to him, his story is so heartbreaking and so inspiring as well.. And I wanted to be able to tell him that.

Will Dennis or Omar be speaking at the Vancouver premier in January? I’d love to see that and I live in the interior but would make the trek to see them speak. By the way, you are doing great work with running this site - thank you for sharing Omar’s journey with us and for embodying the spirit of what it means to be Canadian. You are a truly wonderful person for helping him when so many have turned their backs on him.
