One of the lovely Christmas cards that Omar sent in 2013 from his Edmonton prison is part of regular correspondence between him and a United Church of Canada congregation.

The card was sent shortly after Nelson Mandela’s death and offers a view of Omar’s empathetic character and his openness to other faith groups.
